Description

Thousands of people around Russia and abroad have joined Victory Day parades and celebrations to mark 70 years since victory over Nazi Germany in WWII. According to official data, about 27 million Soviet citizens, including both civilians and servicemen, died in the Great Patriotic War against Nazi Germany in 1941-1945.

Today march of the 'Immortal Regiment' in St. Petersburg, as part of events leading up to Victory Day on May 9. The parade allows relatives to honour loved ones who died in battle by carrying photographs of them.
